Tibiao is the fourth class municipality in the Province of Antique, Philippines. Tibiao is subdivided into 21 Barangays namely:

( Brief history)
- During the spanish times, soldiers happened to see the groups of native picking up shells locally known as "kuhol" in the muddy fields of "Hatayhatay". They asked what was the name of the municipality while pointing to the vast expanse of land in the municipality which, is covered with tall grasses also known as "Tigbao". The natives misconstrued the question and believing that the Spaniards are asking for the name of the grasses thus quickly answered, "Tigbao". Since then, they started calling the place Tigbao, but due to difficulty in pronouncing the word they changed it to TIBIAO by which name the municipality known up to the present.
- Generally, Tibiao, Antique billed as the Eco- Adventure capital in Western Visayas which serves a great place to experience rock climbing, water diving, natural water spa, and many more.
- Tibiao, has good fishing grounds, and the town's waters believed to serve as the highway Migratory fish like tangigue, barracuda, swordfish, and sardines to name a few.
